AMPI Golf Tournament great success in Rosarito/Ensenada at Bajamar

More than $18,000 was raised this past Saturday to help provide educational services to needy children in Baja thanks to a golf tournament sponsored by A.M.P.I. - the Association of Realtors in Baja Mexico. I joined Erik Weichelt, past president of the San Diego Association of Realtors, at the event played at Bajamar, a beautiful resort near Rosarito. If there is a more beautiful golf complex anywhere along the entire West Coast -- including Pebble Beach -- I would be amazed. The course was immaculate and the four holes that run along the Pacific were spectacular. Kudos to Larry French, Roy Warfield and many other San Diego brokers who work and live in Baja for putting together this great event.

The above is another comment by "San Diego Source's" Richard Chamberlin.  There were about 50 volunteers and many other organizers that worked very, very hard to make this annual event a success.  My special thanks go to Lana Jordan who organized many of the events, and to her husband Drew Juvinall for his very hard work.  A lot of us realtors who live in Baja donated our services for a great cause.....the Baja Scholarship Foundation.  AMPI, as most of you know, is the Mexican Association of Realtors, based in México City, so it is a national organization that regulates us. AMPI has an agreement with NAR of the United States, that we follow the Code of Ethics so thank you for doing business with a realtor who belongs to AMPI/NAR.

Also an enormous "THANK YOU" to the golfers who happily contributed to our efforts by attending and making this event a huge success.  Everybody had a great time, a good amount of money was raised, and we hope that next year we may grow this event to accommodate even more golfers to raise even more money for scholarships.  It was a long, tiring day, but it was well worth it!
