México wants "last call" law for Baja California
Baja California, México -- Baja California's State Congress wants to pass a law that would change the times for last call in the state.
If the law passes, last call for all bars in Baja would be 3:00 AM on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and 1:00 AM during the rest of the week.
Bar owners oppose the law saying it would reduce the amount of business they get from American tourists, especially in places like Mexicali and Algodones.
But the Congressman behind the bill says it would help cut down on crimes like drunk-driving and assaults.
