I will start another series tomorrow, the "TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS for Baja California, México" in keeping with the Calendar. So let's start singing the song and enjoy the 12 days of Christmas until Epiphany (also known as "Three Kings Day") on January 6. TIP: Not actually "cakes" at all, these sweet, crunchy snacks are tossed in a generous dusting of powdered sugar. Traditional versions are made with almonds; this recipe substitutes pistachios and dried tart cherries for deeper flavor.
